Elevated Networks’ Matt Heaton chairs the Southern Utah Classic Gala, raising nearly $300k for American Cancer Society

The new Black Desert Resort made the perfect backdrop for the two-day event, which included a gala, silent auction, and golf tournament. “Cancer affects every person in the world, direct or not,” said Heaton. Having lost his father to cancer several years ago, this event was especially meaningful.

The significant funds raised in the event will be used to help local cancer patients, providing transportation and lodging assistance for those undergoing treatment and their caretakers.

Heaton and other community leaders shared stories about cancer’s impact on their lives, urging eventgoers to dig deep to support The American Cancer Society. The Black Desert Resort itself was affected by the disease when it’s designer, World Golf Hall of Fame player Tom Weiskopf, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly after breaking ground. Sadly, he was unable to see the completion of the beautiful course.

Elevated Networks was proud to sponsor this event that will help so many in our local community and beyond.
